What we collect

When you use the comparison tool, contact form, live chat or account registration, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, and your answers about investment level, experience, interests and self-certified investor status. We do not ask for bank details, National Insurance numbers, or payment information anywhere on this site.

Why we collect it

We use your details to: respond to enquiries you make through the contact form or live chat; show you comparison results only once you have confirmed your eligibility, as UK financial promotion rules require; pass your enquiry to the specific introducing partner you have asked to hear from, so they can contact you directly; and let you save comparisons if you create an account.

Who we share it with

We share your enquiry details with the introducing partner relevant to the opportunity you asked about, so they can follow up with you. We do not sell your personal data to unrelated third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and account data for as long as your account is active, or as long as reasonably needed to handle your enquiry and meet our own legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses your browser's session and local storage to keep you logged in, to remember whether you have started a live chat conversation, and to remember your cookie choice. These are strictly necessary and are always on.

If you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, we also use the following analytics and advertising tools. Cookies and advertising identifiers are only set once you accept:

• Google Analytics (Google LLC), to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and for how long.
• Google Ads (Google LLC), to measure whether our adverts lead to enquiries and to show you relevant adverts on Google services.
• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd), to measure whether our adverts on Facebook and Instagram lead to enquiries, and to show you relevant adverts there.

These tools set cookies and send details such as the pages you visit, your device and browser type, your approximate location and whether you submitted a form to Google and Meta. If you accept and then submit a form, we also send Google a one-way hashed (scrambled) copy of your email address, phone number and name, so it can match the enquiry to the advert you clicked. We never send these to Meta. Google and Meta may transfer this data outside the UK under their own safeguards. See Google's privacy policy and Meta's privacy policy.

Before you choose, Google's tag loads in a restricted mode (Google Consent Mode). In that mode it sets no cookies and sends only limited signals, such as that a page was viewed or an enquiry form was completed, without using advertising identifiers. The Meta Pixel does not load at all until you accept.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser, after which the banner will ask you again. You can also manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask to see the data we hold on you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for us to contact you. To do any of this, email info@comparealternativeinvestments.com and we will respond as soon as we can.
